Textile Sizing Agent – Single shot size for staple yarns composed of cellulosic and its blends. Suitable for weaving coarser and medium count open-end and ring-spun warps made of cotton.

Ecology

According to our experience Leomine Size SSC – textile sizing agent does not exert any harmful effects on health provided they are used as per our recommendation. Does not contain APEO / NPEO. Has optimum COD / BOD values.

Storage

Leomine Size SSC – textile sizing agent has a shelf life of at least one year if stored in its tightly sealed original packing at temperatures between 5ºC and 35ºC in a dry place. Bags should be tightly resealed each time the material is taken from them, and their contents should be used up as soon as possible after they have been opened.

Solubility: Soluble in warm water in all proportions.

pH: 7.0 to 9.0 (10% aqueous solution)

Viscosity: 140 Pas. ( 10% solution ) – Brookfield RVT, spindle 3 / 100 rpm

Stability

Leomine Size SSC is stable to hard water.

Compatibility

Leomine Size SSC – textile sizing agent is compatible with most Sizing chemicals. Readily undergoes desizing with enzymes employed for de-sizing.

Application

The following guideline recipes are recommended

Upto 40’s Count – 12 to 15% Leomine Size SSC – textile sizing agent

The concentration of the size liquor depends on the yarn count, warp setting, yarn quality, machine conditions and weaving requirements.

To ensure consistent sizing results, it is advisable to boil the size solution (> 90 °C) for 30 minutes or more under low speed stirring until it becomes a homogeneous liquid. Leomine Size SSC should be added slowly into the water to avoid the formation of lumps. Addition of softener can be done if needed:

For Lubrication and anti-stat in Size mix : 1 – 2 % Leomine Wax ASE on weight of size mix

For After waxing : 1 – 3 % Leomine Wax AWA on weight of the yarn
