Textile Pretreatment Stabilizer – Peroxide stabilizer for bleaching cotton and polyester-cotton blends with hydrogen peroxide. Suitable for exhaust and continuous processes.

Chemical Nature : Mixture of salts of organic polyacids.

Ecology

Textile Pretreatment Stabilizer is readily biodegradable. According to our experience Leomine Stabilizer PSL does not exert any harmful effects on health provided they are used as per our recommendation. Does not contain APEO / NPEO.

Storage

Leomine Stabilizer PSL has a shelf life of at least one year if stored in its tightly sealed original packing at temperatures between 5ºC and 35ºC in a dry place. Drums should be tightly resealed each time the material is taken from them, and their contents should be used up as soon as possible after they have been opened.

Stability

This textile pretreatment stabilizer is resistant to acids, alkalis and electrolytes at the concentrations at which they are usually employed in pre-treatment processes.

Compatibility

Leomine Stabilizer PSL is compatible with most pre-treatment auxiliaries. In order of addition, it is recommended that this textile pretreatment stabilizer is added first to the pre-treatment bath followed by Caustic Soda, Wetting agent / detergent and Hydrogen Peroxide.

Application

Bleaching in Package Machines:

  • 2 – 6 ml/l Hydrogen Peroxide 50%
  • 1 – 2 g/l Leomine Stabilizer PSL
  • 1 – 1.5 g/l NaOH 100%
  • 0.5 – 1 g/l Leomine Wash Jet DBJ
  • Liquor ration 1:10
  • Processing temperature and time: 60 – 90 min. at 90 – 100 ºC or 30 – 40 min. at 110 ºC

Bleaching in winches

  • 2 – 4 ml/l Hydrogen Peroxide 50%
  • 0.5 – 1 g/l Leomine Stabilizer PSL
  • 1 – 1.5 g/l NaOH 100%
  • 1 g/l Leomine Wash Jet DBJ / Leomine Wash WSL
  • Liquor ratio: 1:15 – 1:30
  • Processing temperature: 85 – 95 ºC
  • Processing time: 1-2 h

Bleaching in jet- dying machines

  • 4 – 6 ml/l Hydrogen Peroxide 50%
  • 1 g/l Leomine Stabilizer PSL
  • 1 g/l NaOH 100%
  • 0.5 – 1 g/l Leomine Wash Jet DBJ
  • Liquor ratio: 1:7 – 1:10
  • Processing temperature: 90 – 100ºC
  • Processing time: 30 – 60 min.

Bleaching on the jigger

  • 4 – 10 ml/l Hydrogen Peroxide 50%
  • 2 – 3 g/l Leomine Stabilizer PSL
  • 1.5 – 3 NaOH 100%
  • 1 – 2 g/l Leomine Wash WSL.
  • Liquor ratio: 1:4 – 1:8
  • Processing temperature: 80 – 95 ºC
  • Processing time: 1 – 2 h.

Continuous peroxide bleach (Silicate process)

  • 20 ml/ l Hydrogen Peroxide 50%
  • 4 g/l NaOH 100%
  • 6 ml /l Sodium Silicate
  • 6 g/l Leomine Stabilizer PSL
  • 1 g/l Leomine Wash Jet DBJ
  • Liquor ratio: 1:20 – 1:40
  • Processing temperature: 90 – 95 ºC
  • Processing time: 15 – 30 min

Continuous peroxide bleach (Conventional Steamer)

  • 20 – 40 ml/l Hydrogen peroxide, 50%
  • 8 – 12 g/l Leomine Stabilizer PSL
  • 3 – 6 g/l Caustic soda
  • 2 – 3 g/l Leomine Wash DFB or Leomine Wash DNC
  • Liquor pick-up ca. 100%
  • Processing temperature 102 ºC
  • Reaction time 1 – 3 min

Further improvement can certainly be obtained in the case of critical qualities by conducting a pre-extraction (boiling off ) with Leomine Extract SDE. The final bleaching results also depend on many factors like substrate, processing conditions and machine.
