Textile Pretreatment Agent – Low foaming wetting agent for use in mercerizing and causticising cotton fiber in woven, knitted and yarn form.

Chemical Nature : Surfactants in water, Anionic.

Features

  • Yellowish, low viscous liquid; pumpable.
  • Soluble in water in all proportions.
  • Low foaming .
  • low toxicity.
  • Effective detergent.
  • Unaffected by electrolytes.
  • Low Odour.
  • Works best in Neutral to Alkaline pH range.

Benefits

  • Can be added undiluted to the mercerizing or causticising liquor.
  • Exhibits excellent wetting action in mercerizing and causticising process.
  • Promotes intensive and rapid penetration with caustic soda solution.
  • Produces very little foam in processing liquor during the washing process and in caustic recovery.
  • Optimum wetting action of Leomine Mercerizer MCS is obtained in approx. 200 to 300 g/l of caustic soda 100%.

Ecology

According to our experience Leomine Mercerizer MCS does not exert any harmful effects on health provided they are used as per our recommendation. Does not contain APEO / NPEO.

Storage

Leomine Mercerizer MCS – a textile pretreatment agent has a shelf life of atleast one year if stored in its tightly sealed original packing at temperatures between 5ºC and 35ºC in a dry place. Drums should be tightly resealed each time the material is taken from them, and their
contents should be used up as soon as possible after they have been opened.

Leomine Mercerizer MCS is stable to hard water and alkalis.

Compatibility

Leomine Mercerizer MCS is compatible with Anionic and Non-ionic auxiliaries.

Application

This Textile Pretreatment Agent is used as a powerful wetting agent for mercerizing and causticising woven, knitted and yarn made of cotton and blends of cotton with other cellulosic fibers like Viscose and Linen.

The recommended dosage for Leomine Mercerizer MCS is given below. However, pre-testing needs to be done depending on the penetration time available and type of textile material being processed.

Grey Fabric:

  • Woven 6 – 10 g/l
  • Knitted 6 – 10 g/l
  • Yarn 6 – 10 g/l

Pre-treated fabric:

  • Dry 3 – 6 g/l
  • Wet 1 – 4 g/l

Safety
