Textile Clearing Agent – Prevents coatings of oligomers on textiles containing polyester and oligomer deposits in dyeing machines. Recommended for exhaust application.
Chemical Nature : Olefin copolymer, sodium salt, anionic.
Features
- Pale yellow clear liquid.
- Miscible with water in all proportions with slight turbidity.
- Excellent dispersing agent for organic and inorganic solids.
- Stable to electrolytes.
- Stable to hard water and alkalis.
- Stable to high temperatures encountered during dyeing of polyester.
- Stable to high shear.
- APEO free.
- Silicone free.
- Low odour.
- Non-foaming.
Benefits
- Helps oligomers migrate out of the textile material in a finely dispersed state.
- Prevents crystal growth of oligomers.
- Facilitates washing out of oligomers when the dye liquid is drained off.
- Prevents re-deposition of oligomers on yarn / fabric and machinery.
- Works best in combination with Leomine Level PEX for levelling and dispersion.
- Ensures free liquor circulation in yarn / fabric dyeing.
- Has no effect on dyed shades.
- Improves surface smoothness of yarn / fabric.
- High stability to alkali.
Ecology
This textile clearing agent has a shelf life of at least one year if stored in its tightly sealed original packing at temperatures between 5ºC and 35ºC in a dry place. Drums should be tightly resealed each time the material is taken from them, and their contents should be used up as soon as possible after they have been opened.
Properties
Appearance: Pale yellow clear liquid
Solubility: Miscible with water and organic solvents in all proportions
pH: 10 – 11
Density: 1.10 g/cm3 (20°C)
Viscosity : 50 mPas (Brookefield RVT, 23 C, ASIS, Spindle 1, 100 rpm)
Stability
This textile clearing agent is stable to acids, alkalis and electrolytes at the concentrations at which they are usually employed in dyeing processes of Polyester and its blends.
Compatibility
Leomine Clear XPO is compatible with anionic and non-ionic auxiliaries
Application
Application rate depends upon the proportion of oligomers in the fibers
For Oligomer control :
- 1.5 – 3 % Leomine Clear XPO
For LeoXact process :
- 0.5 – 3% Leomine Level PEX
- 1.5 – 3% Leomine Clear XPO
- pH 4.5 – 5 (with acetic acid or Leomine Buffer DBC/ Leomine Buffer PAB)
- … % disperse dye
Heat the dye bath to 125 –135°C and dye the goods for 20 – 60 minutes at this temperature. The heating-up rate, the dyeing temperature and the dyeing time in the HT phase depend on the depth of shade, the circulation of the liquor or movement of the textile material, and the type of material being dyed.
Observe the dyestuff suppliers recommendations.
