Textile Clearing Agent – Liquid auxiliary with strong reductive effect for post-clearing dyeing on Polyester, Polyacrylonitrile and their blends. For use in the dyebath under acidic conditions.
Chemical Nature : Organic reducing agent ; aqueous solution; anionic.
Features

- Sodium Hydrosulfite (+Sodium Hydroxide sol.) can be generally replaced with the same quantity of Leomine Clear RCE (+acid).

Ecology
This textile clearing agent is readily biodegradable. According to our experience Leomine Clear RCE does not exert any harmful effects on health provided they are used as per our recommendation. Does not contain APEO / NPEO.
Storage
This textile clearing agent has a shelf life of at least one year if stored in its tightly sealed original packing at temperatures between 5ºC and 35ºC in a dry place. Product may solidify at very low temperature but can be recovered on heating. Drums should be tightly resealed each time the material is taken from them, and their contents should be used up as soon as possible after they have been opened.

Stability
Leomine Clear RCE is stable to hard water and alkalis. Leomine Clear RCE should not be mixed with acids in their concentrated form. Always add acid before addition of Leomine Clear RCE.
Compatibility
This textile clearing agent is compatible with anionic and non-ionic auxiliaries. Precipitation may occur if applied at the same time with Cationic products.
Application
The following guideline recipes are recommended in acidic conditions
Post-clearing of dyeings on Polyester, Polyacrylonitrile and their blends
0.5 – 2 g/l Leomine Buffer PAB or Acetic acid (add before Leomine Clear RCE)
- For medium shades : 0.5 – 0.7 ml/l Leomine Clear RCE
- For deep shades : 0.7 – 1.2 ml/l Leomine Clear RCE
Reduction clear for 10 – 20 min at 70 – 80 °C ( temp should not exceed 85% ), rinse hot and cold.
To clear dark shades on PES/PAN in the dye bath, it may be necessary to clear in a fresh bath to avoid a filter effect on precipitates formed when anionic auxiliaries come into contact with cationic dyes.
With difficult dye combinations or very deep shades, the addition of 0.5 – 2 g/l Leomine Disperse XPD improves the clearing effect and the standard of fastness.
Post-clearing of dyeing on Polyester / Cellulose blends.
Reductive intermediate clearing of dyeing with disperse and reactive dyes on PES/CEL blends.
Reductive intermediate clearing of these blends with Leomine Clear RCE is beneficial as it creates optimum pH for reactive dyeing. However, the goods must be thoroughly rinsed to remove the reducing agent before reactive dyeing is carried out.

When using this textile clearing agent, the information and advice given in our Material Safety Data Sheet should be observed. Due attention should also be given to the precautions necessary for handling chemicals.
