Textile Finishing Agent – Leomine Additive SPE

Textile Finishing Agent – Polyethylene based APEO free smoothing agent and Additive for textile finishing of fabrics made of cellulosic fibers. Bio-eliminable. Tear strength, abrasion resistance and sewability improver.

Chemical Nature : Secondary Polyethylene dispersion ; weakly anionic.

Ecology

According to our experience this textile finishing agent does not exert any harmful effects on health provided they are used as per our recommendation. Does not contain APEO / NPEO.

Storage

This textile finishing agent has a shelf life of at least one year if stored in its tightly sealed original packing at temperatures between 5ºC and 35ºC in a dry place. Drums should be tightly resealed each time the material is taken from them, and their contents should be used up as soon as possible after they have been opened.

Solubility: Miscible with cold water in all proportions

pH: 8.0 to 10.0

Density: 1.0 g/cm³

Stability

The pH of the ready-to-use finishing liquor should be approx.5.0. The finish should be subsequently cured under normal conditions.

Compatibility

Leomine Additive SPE is compatible with anionic and non-ionic finishing agents. Precipitation may occur if used with cationic agents.

Application

Application by Padding

Cotton Poplin:

• 50 – 100 g/l Leomine Resin ECO.
• 13 – 25 g/l Leomine Catalyst RFM or MgCl2.
• 10 – 30 g/l Leomine Additive SPE.
• 1 g/l Leomine Wash Jet DBJ.
• Adjust pH of finish liquor to 4 to 5 using Acetic Acid
• Liquor pickup: approx. 70 %
• Dry as usual
• Cure: 3 to 5 minutes at 150 0C

Polyester / Cotton:

• 100 – 130 g/l Leomine Resin ECO.
• 20 – 25 g/l Leomine Catalyst RFM or MgCl2.
• 10 – 30 g/l Leomine Softener MES.
• 10 – 30 g/l Leomine Additive SPE.
• 1 g/l Leomine Wash Jet DBJ.
• Liquor pickup : approx. 70 %
• Dry below 120 ºC.
• Cure : 3 to 5 minutes at 150 ºC
