Textile Fixing Agent – Melamine – Formaldehyde fixing agent for Pigment printing and coating applications to improve fastness of Pigment prints for woven and knit goods made of Cellulosic and its blends.

Chemical Nature : Melamine-Formaldehyde addition product in water/solvent

Ecology

Textile Fixing Agent FBS contains Formaldehyde and should be handled accordingly. Does not contain APEO / NPEO.

Storage

Textile Fixing Agent FBS has a shelf life of at least one year if stored in its tightly sealed original packing at temperatures between 5ºC and 35ºC in a dry place. Drums should be tightly resealed each time the material is taken from them, and their contents should be used up as soon as possible after they have been opened.

Solubility: Miscible with cold water in all proportion

pH: 7 – 9

Density: 1.10 g/cm³

Stability

Textile Fixing Agent FBS is stable under normal textile wet processing conditions

Compatibility

Textile Fixing Agent FBS is compatible with anionic and cationic auxiliaries. Precipitation may occur in acidic pH. Not recommended for resist printing with reactive dyes

Application

For regular Pigment printing :

• … g Water
  4 g Liquor Ammonia ( 25% solution )
  150 g Leomine Binder BT / TS / TW
  12 g Soda Ash
  10 g Leomine Fixing Agent FBS
  ————-
  1000 g
• Print -> Dry -> Cure for 4-5 minutes with hot air at 150ºC
• pH to be maintained at 8

For Coating Applications :

• 1 to 3 % in the coating recipe
