Textile Sizing Agent – Leomine Size FPA

Textile Sizing Agent with inbuilt softener for warp yarns composed of cellulosic fibers, polyester-cellulosic blends, wool, polyester-wool blends, polyester and polyacrylic spun yarns. Suitable for size recycling by ultrafiltration.

Ecology

According to our experience Leomine Size FPA does not exert any harmful effects on health provided they are used as per our recommendation. Does not contain APEO / NPEO. Results in lower COD / BOD and sewage sludge as compared to traditional sizing agents. Product is recyclable.

Storage

Leomine Size FPA has a shelf life of at-least one year if stored in its tightly sealed original packing at temperatures between 5
0C and 350C in a dry place. Bags should be tightly resealed each time the material is taken from them, and their contents should be used up as soon as possible after they have been opened.

Properties

Appearance: White free flowing powder

Solubility: Slurries in cold water. Soluble in hot water ( 85ºC ) in all proportions

pH: 5.0 to 7.0

Viscosity: 14 to 16 seconds by Ford Viscosity Cup (4% Solution)

Stability

Once dissolved in hot water , the product is stable on storage for extended periods of time

Compatibility

Leomine Size FPA is compatible with most sizing and de-sizing chemicals. However yarns containing excessive amounts of NaOH should first be washed with water to neutralize them before sizing.

• However the size add-on should be adjusted as per requirement depending on quality of fiber, yarn, fabric construction and weave patterns.

Desizing :

• Leomine Size FPA can be easily washed out of the fabric at a temperature of 85ºC with water. If desired then 1 gpl of Leomine Wash WSL can be added to de-sizing bath.
• If Leomine Size FPA is combined with starch, the de-sizing procedure depends upon the nature of starch products employed.
